Hi there, RC community!
We’ve noticed quite a few new faces in the 1:10 Rod Shop crew recently, so we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. Hi, we’re Dustin and Jay!
We are 1:10 Rod Shop—just the two of us! We handle everything: designing, manufacturing, fulfillment and shipping, customer service, promotion, and building a whole new brand of products from scratch. We’re a husband-and-wife team with a family of seven, and we absolutely love the RC hobby!
We’re the kind of couple that takes RC cars on dates and vacations because, well, why not? Our story began two years ago when Dustin, frustrated by the lack of quality scale parts for his custom RC builds, decided to teach himself CAD. Before long, his creations caught the attention of other hobbyists, and people started asking him to design for them. That’s how 1:10 Rod Shop was born!
Jay soon jumped in to help turn Dustin’s talent into a business. She combined her passion for photography and digital creativity with Dustin’s design expertise. Over the years, we’ve showcased incredible custom RC builds and developed full product lines of high-quality parts for a few different platforms. Along the way, we’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with some of the RC community’s most talented manufacturers, designers, influencers, competitors, and enthusiasts.
This community has given us so much, and we’re passionate about giving back. Our mission is to grow our business while creating an entire brand of innovative, high-quality scale products. We believe in the power of teamwork, so we’re all in—working insanely long days, learning from our growing pains, and staying committed to putting our customers first.
Our goal is to bring you smiles, unique products that stand out, and the thrill of the “wow!” moment. The positivity, encouragement, and grace you’ve shown us fuel our journey. We’re ironing out the wrinkles and fixing our flaws, but we’re doing it—and we couldn’t do it without you.
